In development – coming soon

See your architecture through one sightline.

Sightline will connect your application portfolio, architecture diagrams, and decision records in a single, living view. The goal: help teams know what they have, how it fits together, and why it was built that way.

One platform, three connected views.

Sightline is being designed as a lightweight, opinionated alternative to heavyweight EA tooling. These are the core capabilities planned for the first versions.

Application portfolio you can trust

Keep a structured inventory of applications with owners, lifecycle, criticality, and dependencies. Replace scattered spreadsheets with a portfolio that stays in sync with your architecture work.

Diagrams with meaningful diffs

Store diagrams as versioned, diffable models instead of static images. See what changed between versions and which systems were affected.

Decisions that never lose context

Capture architecture decisions as lightweight records linked to apps and diagrams. Tie each change back to its rationale so context is never lost.

How Sightline is intended to fit into your practice

Step 1

Inventory your systems

Import or gradually build your application portfolio. Assign owners, tag business capabilities, and map key dependencies.

Step 2

Connect diagrams and decisions

Attach versioned diagrams to the applications and capabilities they represent. Record decisions that propose and approve changes.

Step 3

See impact at a glance

When something changes, Sightline aims to show which capabilities, applications, and integrations are affected—and why.

Built for teams who own the big picture

CIOs & CTOs

The goal is to provide a single, trustworthy view of your application estate and where change is happening— without relying on yet another slide deck.

Enterprise & Solution Architects

Sightline is being designed to keep your portfolio, diagrams, and decision records together so you can propose changes, compare versions, and leave a clear trail of how your architecture evolved.

Engineering Leaders

The vision is to help teams see how their services fit into the wider environment with diagrams and decisions that are always discoverable and up to date.

FAQ

What is Sightline?

Sightline is an upcoming tool for architecture and engineering teams. It’s focused on combining an application portfolio, versioned diagrams, and decision records in one place so you can see both your systems and the story behind them.

Is this available yet?

Not yet. Sightline is currently in active design and early development. This page is here to outline the direction and keep a simple public face while the product is being built.

Will this replace my diagramming tool?

The intent is not to replace tools like draw.io or Lucid, but to sit alongside them—focusing on versioning, diffing, and linking diagrams to applications, capabilities, and decisions.

How will Sightline be deployed?

The initial plan is a secure, multi-tenant SaaS, with the possibility of dedicated or private deployments for organizations that need them. More details will be shared as development progresses.
